COVID-19 is a respiratory infection, and evidence suggested it is spread by droplet transmission. Droplets are bigger than 5µm and have a range of approximately 1 metre. The principle modes of transmission are airborne from coughing and breathing when people are in close proximity, and from contaminated surfaces.
