  2. Select the ‘mode’ menu from the five buttons along the bottom of the screen
  3. Set the ventilation and breath ‘mode’ of the ventilator; ‘pressure’ or ‘volume’, and ‘support’, ‘assist control’, ‘MIPV’ or ‘SIMV’. Click ‘next’.
  4. To change the clinical settings, scroll through the different parameters and set them according to the patient’s requirements. To change the settings, scroll left and right using the arrow keys, and to confirm the setting, select the down arrow to move to the next setting.
  5. Once the clinical settings have been set, click ‘next’ to proceed to the alarm settings menu.
  6. Scroll through the alarm settings to set the alarm triggers.
  7. Once the alarm settings have been set, click ‘next’ to proceed to the circuit type menu: ‘exhalation valve’, or ‘leakage’ circuit.
